to mark the official unveiling of Eric Meadus Close, off Wessex Lane, next to Swaythling Station This is a terrace of social housing, on the former Vincents Van Hire site, by Raglan Housing Association and Orchard Homes & Developments, with support from Southampton City Council. It seems Raglan mooted the naming.

The display, mainly drawings, stems from the generous loan of four Swaythling Station pictures by Gillian & Roger Murton. These have not been shown publicly for almost 25 years. N.B. the exhibition is at "The First", not anywhere in the Close, though this image is reproduced on the outdoor plaque to be unveiled there on July 8th. Meadus would have stood in the current grounds of the Close to get this viewpoint.
