At War’s Command

From Wellington’s army to World War II, this moving performance paints a vivid picture, in words and music, of the men who marched away, the girls they left behind, and many others whose lives have been touched by the hand of war.

Courage, conflict, compassion and comedy are skilfully woven together and brought to life through the magical harmony singing of Moira Craig, Sarah Morgan and Carolyn Robson. The finale is set against the backdrop of evocative images from the archives of former soldier and photographer Angus Beaton.

"a tribute with gravitas, feeling and a hint of mirth sufficient to lift the dark...."
